Another Spring Weekend
We have had our share of stormy weather this spring, and it looks as if there is more on the way for today. The wind is gusty and it has been raining off and on this morning. I still have flowers to set out and I want to make some new beds at the northwest corner. I may not get anything done today.

A Visit to Garvan Woodland Gardens
Yesterday LK and I along with Mike and Betty took the day and drove to Hot Springs to visit the Garvan Woodland Gardens. Lynda and I had visited the garden for the first time last year. It was past time for tulips and azeleas then, so we had made planes to go this years when they were in bloom.

The gardens were lovely eventhough most of the tulips were past their prime. It was a beautiful day while we were at the gardens, so we were surprised to find out that the weather had been so bad in Tennessee.

What Were You Doing Ten Years Ago Today?
Many people may have difficulty remembering what they were doing ten years ago on April Fools' Day, but that afternoon is etched in my memory. I don't know whether it was a planned thing or just happenstance that George purposely chose that particular day to call me to his office and ask why I was still on campus. It turned out to be the last day that I would work on campus.
