The class that I am teaching this semester met for the first time last week. I believe it is going to be an interesting class. We meet each Tuesday and Thursday from 17:30 to 20:30.

During the last week we have been to two movies. That is usually what we end up seeing for the year! We saw "Seabiscuit" in the local theater, but went to Memphis to see "Open Range" with Lauri.

We took a short vacation trip. Visited North Carolina for 10 days. It's hard to pick a highlight of the trip. We spent several hours at the Biltmore House in Asheville. We had been there once before over twenty years ago. It is a fabulous place.

We went by Hickory and took Kay Lyn to lunch. It had been several years since we had seen her. We didn't get to see Donnie.

After that we drove on to Hillsborough and visited with Margaret for two days, then it was on to the Outer Banks. But we did stop by in the Chapel Hill area to visit the Southern Living Idea House.

The place where we stayed in Beaufort was originally the county poor home.

I changed internet providers (from DSL to cable), so the website where I had my blog will no longer be available. I am in the process of getting my pages up at the new site, but in the meanwhile I will use the Blogspot to post.
