We are going to Texas for Thanksgiving.

This week didn't have a good beginning. Well, it actually started off all right but by about 9 p.m. on Monday things went downhill. Lynda and I both ended up sick and feeling miserable. It was probably something that we ate. And the fact that we were in an area that was predicted to have bad weather including high winds didn't allow us to sleep any better. It's Wednesday night and we are beginning to feel human again.

We are looking forward to visiting with friends and family over the Thanksgiving holidays.

I got busy and forgot to post anything last week.

I had an appointment (10/31) for the doctor to check how the wrist is coming along. It seems to be going great. That evening we drove to Bald Knob and met Dennis & Gwenda for supper. I was so busy thinking about the directions that I had printed off the internet that I didn't see the big sign for the cafe. I had Lynda turn right--the sign said turn left. Anyway, after we finally found the place, we had a good meal and visit. D & G had brought a rocking chair that we had purchased earlier.

On Sunday afternoon we drove over to Shelby State Forrest (it has another name) to check out the fall foliage. Mike and Betty went with us--with Mike driving.
Ray & Carolyn came for a visit. It was a good visit. They ended up doing a lot of work around here. Lynda had a list of things to do involving home decorating and I had the garden ideas all set.
