Thanksgiving Day
This is a day for all of us to be thankful. As for me, I'm thankful for the fact that I was born in the USA. I love traveling both in the US and other countries, but glad that I grew up in east Texas and lived the places that I've lived.

I'm thankful that I met and married Lynda Kay and that we have Lauri.

Farewell to a Bit of History.

I'm watching TV. The time is nearing for the implosion of the Baptist Hospital in Memphis that was built in 1956. This is the hospital where I had back surgery in May of 1981. It is also the hosital where Elvis was taken on the night that he died. The hosital closed five years ago and is being demolished to make way for a new biotech research center. There is a large number of people who have gone to witness the implosion. Eight hundred pounds of explosives have just gone off and the twenty-one storey hospital is no more. In its place at the moment is a cloud of dust.
