We are getting the plan together for our trip to DC and Philadelphia. LK used the phone to get reservations for the first night. I used the internet and phone to get reservations for the next four nights. Still have some more to do before we set out on Saturday.

In several ways it is good to get away from eastern arkansas during the hot, July days. But it is also a bad time to be away from the garden plants. We have too many plants in containers that we have to ask someone to look after.

LK and Lauri had a birthday party for me on Wednesday night. Lauri and Chris, one of her friends, did the refreshments. There were about 40 people present. It was fun!

We are doing the planning for our trip to Philadelphia with Mike and Betty. We won't be able to see everything that we would like to, but it should be fun.

In a few minutes we are going to a production presented by the local college and the little theatre group. It's a musical review.
